Thomaz Martin

Heavy hitting and softly moving, Martin cut his teeth (and appropriately calloused his fingertips) playing in multiple Brazilian jazz ensembles around London. He released a cassette-only EP, Heart Murmur, in late 2024, before founding Man Made Tigers with Ann Liu Cannon, for whom he had been serving as a guitarist. The Brazilian-born Kentish Town local headed back into the studio last summer to conjure his debut full length album. The psych-romantic-swoon-swamp-pop-faux-grunge-anti-jazz cornucopia also known as Nostalgia for Modern Times comes out on the 29th of May.

His latest gigs include a sold out joint headline gig at Camden Assembly, London last November. He will be playing the Late Spring Folk Festival in Wiltshire in May before touring the UK in the Summer.
